Really useful June 20, 2008 Mrs. S. Hogarth (Aberdeen, Scotland) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought maternity trousers and the ones for work were a really good fit but the jeans kept sliding down. I got this so i could wear my normal jeans and its great! I was a bit dubious that it would work but the trousers really stay up! If you put on the smaller size one there is no need to use the fabric so instead of feeling exposed i wear with the belly band and its a great combo. Hopefully i wont have to buy any more new trousers!
What a fantastic product!!! May 23, 2008 V. Seedhouse 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I found this product a great help during my pregnancy, also being on a budget it meant i didn't have to maternity clothes. I would definantly recommend buying.
Fantastic Item October 25, 2008 L. Brooke 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent item at a bargain price. Belly Belt has enabled me to still wear my work trousers and normal jeans which would have otherwise been too small! You just need to make sure that you wear a long top so that it covers the band and also your zip if you cannot get the zip right up. This item is great if you are too big for your normal bottoms but too small for maternity wear.
Better in theory than in practice. January 6, 2009 J. E. Cheswick (Beds, UK) I bought this item as I didn't want (nor was able!) to spend a lot of money on maternity clothes that I would wear for only a few months. In theory this is a good idea. At 34 weeks I am still using the first belt - there is a second larger belt, and in turn these can be combined to give an even longer belt, so it will definitely last for the duration of my pregnancy. However, the buttons (two per belt) are in a fixed position so most of the time you have to choose between too tight (not recommended of course) or just that bit too loose, with the result that I spend a great deal of time hauling my jeans back up as they gradually fall down while walking around! Yes they are on an elasticated band, but it doesn't seem to hold all that well. I did find that even with the smaller belt I need to use the fabric insert which ends up being bunched up since it isn't designed to be used with this size of belt. Also, although it will prevent you from flashing your underwear, it's still perfectly obvious you're going around with your zip down so you'll need to make sure you have some extra-long tops to keep covered up. Also, on this size belt, one of the buttons has been sewn onto the elasticated section and I found that after a while it did fall off and had to be resewn. Overall I would still say it's a good idea, but the problems mentioned above mean I do tend to only use it when going out, and stick to tracksuit bottoms at home.
Not as good as it looks May 16, 2008 Ms. S. Salisbury (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this thinking i could use my prepregnancy trousers for work, it didn't happen. The extra panel of material didn't feel like it was securely in place and therefore I didn't feel like I could trust it to stay there throughout the day. It also made the trousers not fit properly and bunch around the hips. I was better off with a couple of maternity trousers from Marks & Spencers.
