Great fun and great distraction for little one. August 4, 2007 Lynn Potts (UK) 53 out of 53 found this review helpful
Bought one of these last week for my 5 month old. (16lb) Wasn't happy about the price at the time but its worth every penny. He started off just playing with the spinning toys. Its taken him a week to figure out he can bounce in it and he now gleefully jumps up and down for up to an hour! It seems very safe - it has to be because he'd launch himself if he could - and the toys are enough to keep his interest. Tunes can get irritatng but has two volumes or you can turn sound off completely. It takes up a lot of floor space but our front room already looked like a kids playground so who cares. No idea how long the novelty will last, but its great to watch him bouncing and giggling away. Just to be able to get tasks done without worrying about what he's up to every minute makes it a godsend.
God Bless The Jumperoo! January 27, 2009 J. Wyland 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
My family and I absolutely 100% love the jumperoo. Musing about the price I decided that, yes, knowing what I do now I would pay hundreds, nay, thousands of pounds for this. Seriously I would sell the car. I just cannot overstate how this thing has quite literally saved my life. Short version: BUY THIS! Long version: With bab number one I was too smug for such things, if it wasn't handwoven organic wool naturally shed from free-range unionized sheep I didn't want to know. Then came our second son. Holy cow this kid can scream and scream he did from the moment he was born. None of my tricks worked. The "witchtwigs" (as my DH affectionately calls them), the osteopath, my mom coming to stay, my dad and his wife coming to stay, nothing could make this poor little dude happy. I was shattered, our previously joyful family was just really, well, sad and most of all we felt awful for this little guy that we couldn't find a way to help him out. One afternoon in tears I put us all in the car, sung through the screaming and bought the jumperoo. (Amazon, you know I buy far too much from you, I just couldn't wait a moment longer for a chance of help!) He was just over 3 months old then. I piled up some towels underneath him and away we went. I can't say it was an instant hit. I think we started out with 1 minute but I was determined. Within a few days though he had discovered its beauty and honestly life was forever altered. Suddenly he had something that for whatever reason gave him relief, distraction, whatever and it made him so happy! When he would launch into one of his screaming fits I'd put him into the jumperoo and like some kind of magic he would instantly stop. My sister is a massage therapist/herbalist and has a theory that because of where the ball of his foot contacts the floor he is able to get some kidney diaphragm release (I was too tired to pay total attention to what she was saying). Anyway, three months down the line and I don't care what a huge monster this thing is in our little living room. I know that somebody somewhere will someday tell us that it's not good for his hip development, but the truth is all that screaming wasn't good for anybody! So, if you have a little screamer and you are totally in despair, honestly give this a try it might just save you too!
Lots of fun August 3, 2007 J. Borda (UK) 23 out of 23 found this review helpful
My daughter loves this. We chose this as we have two dogs and did not think a door bouncer would be a good idea. This really grows with your baby and creates a safe environment for them to play and even gives you five minutes to do some chores, that is if you can stop yourself from watching your baby amuse themselves! Only down side it is expensive!
the best buy we made April 21, 2008 Mamabear (Isle of Man) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
This is without a doubt the best thing we bought for our little boy. It is a little pricey but totally worth it. We put our son in it when he was nearly 3 months old which is a little young but he is big for his age and could hold his head up well by then - he loved it immediately although at first was just interested in the spinning toys and we had to put cushions underneath it for his feet as he was too small to reach the floor. By 4 months old he was jumping like a pro and still enjoying the toys - he is now 6 months old and it remains his favourite toy and will spend between 30 and 60 minutes in it at a time, and often up to 3 times a day! It is very sturdy and although it does take up a little space it is worth it as soon as the smile lights up his face once he's in there. would recommend this to anyone who has a baby, especially an active lively one.
Bouncing baby! July 13, 2008 Mrs. G. Tomlinson (UK) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
We bought this for our baby when he was just over 6 months. We bought this one as lots of his little friends had walkers, bouncers etc, but our baby gets bored with everything very quickly! This jumperoo has so many things on that it kept him entertained for a couple of half hours for a good couple of days before he even discovered he could bounce like a nutter in it! Now he's bouncing and spinning round in it and I'm as entertained as he is! I can even leave him in it for around 20 minutes to play on his own, with Thomas The Tank Engine on the telly as well and with how quickly my baby gets bored I never thought that would ever happen! Expensive item, but as long as you get it early enough when they are around 6 or 7 months then I think it's worth the money.
