 Easy to fit, very effective, great value June 22, 2010

Had no problem fitting these at all and after some thorough 'testing' by my 2 year old they're still perfectly intact. He doesn't even bother attempting to open cupboards any longer so life in the kitchen is less stressful now!
I used a drill with a small drill bit to create a pilot hole for the screws as some people said they're difficult to screw in.
These locks are discreet and easy to open (for adults) although the extra step of pushing the clip away from its catch to open the cupboard is a bit annoying to start with. That's the nature of cupboard locks I suppose and if they were easy to open then that'll defeat their purpose.

BOUGHT THESE AND THEY ARE EXCELLENT ,EASY PUT ON DOORS ETC AND CANNOT BE RELEASED BY OUR CHILD ,NOT LIKE PREVIOUS TYPES THEY ARE LONG ENOUGH FOR ADULTS TO GET ANY BIG FINGERS IN TO RELEASE THEM TO OPEN DOOR ETC,AS THE PROBLEM WITH OTHER TYPES YOU CAN JUST ABOUT GET A FINGER IN TO RELEASE THEM TO OPEN IF YOUR LUCKY .WOULD BUY AGAIN AS OUR 17 MONTH OLD CAN NO LONGER EMPTY THE CUPBOARDS GREAT!!!

i have a very curious 2 year old who wants to get into every drawer in the house. If you have a electric drill its best to mark where u want to install and then drill holes and then fix it. It is not difficult but u may end up drilling more holes to get the length right. Once installed operating is not difficult. It is stronger than the strap onces which are useless. MY son never got his fingers struck as he stopped trying to open the drawers once he knew he could not do it. Although not perfect it does the job.
